Drawing on the experience of more than 15 years of Celia and Benjamin, 2 ballistic engineers who previously worked on developing bulletproof vests and ballistic helmets for military, we specifically tailored our products to become the reference for safe plush toys for tough chewers.
This included considerations such as strength and durability, bite angles and the specially designed mix and assembly of fibers.
We used the best materials as we are using them for body armor, in order to produce the first dog toy made with Ultra Hight Molecular Weight Polyethylene non-toxic military grade ballistic fibers. This allows our Cheeky plush toys to withstand the most stubborn of bite.
For more than 2 years, we developped and perfected 3 dog toys using a special assembly of ballistic polyethylene and nylon 6,6.
We decided not to use aramid such as Kevlar as it degrades when wet and is very easy cut (even with standard cissors) in comparison with Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene.
Initial prototypes, made from Nylon and Ultra High Strength Polyethylene fibers, were used to evaluate toys strength, durability and functionality.
