Did you ever drink your most favorite wine from plastic or steel cups, water bottles, or coffee mugs? Or did you ever try bringing a highly fragile wine glass to a place outdoors? Well, we tried and we noticed there has to be a better way!
We, Sebastiaan and Roman, were inspired by the joy of drinking delicious wine in breathtaking locations. However, we realized that carrying a regular wine glass outdoors was risky due to its fragility, and drinking wine from plastic or steel cups compromised the taste. We saw a need for a high-quality portable wine glass that was both sturdy and elegant.
About 4 years ago the idea for our product, VinVoyage, was born. VinVoyage is a crystal mouth-blown wine glass with a special case that protects the wine glass from breaking. Our product is made for wine lovers who love to drink from glass, not plastic or steel cups.
VinVoyage solves the problem of enjoying wine on the go. No more worries about fragile glasses or compromising the taste with plastic or steel cups. Our portable wine glass is the perfect solution, offering both durability and sophistication.
Plastic cups can alter the taste of your wine and pose health risks. Microplastics are pervasive, found in the ocean, air, and even in our bodies. On average, people ingest about 50,000 microplastic particles annually by drinking from plastic cups, a number that can double when inhalation is included. These particles are harmful to both the environment and our health.
Steel cups can change the taste of your wine as well, often giving it a metallic flavor. They also don’t let you see the wine’s color and clarity, which are important for enjoying wine. Observing the wine’s color, clarity, and “legs” enhances the experience, and steel cups hide these details.
