The Avo Canteen, with its unique space-saving design, durable construction, and multi-functional features, is your trusted companion for every journey, whether into the wild or across town.

Plastic that doesn’t end up in a landfill often ends up in the ocean and enters our food chain. Our goal is to eliminate plastic and microplastics in our products, and silicone’s durable molecular structure prevents it from breaking down into microplastics.

Avo Canteens are made from premium food grade silicone that meets both FDA (USA) and LFGB (EU) requirements for food contact and safety. Food grade silicone is commonly used in baby pacifiers and food storage bags, ensuring safety and durability for everyday use. In addition, we add extra hours of curing at high temperature to completely eliminate any potential odor.

The Avo Canteen is soft and easy to wear

Wide mouth, tight seal, and nonstick treatment

  • We made the opening extra wide to allow for quick filling, adding ice cubes, and using cleaning brushes.
  • The stainless steel to silicone seal is air-tight, and easy to clean due to the elimination of O-rings.
  • We incorporated a special process to make our silicone nonstick, so that lint and other particles won’t stick to your Avo Canteen.
This unique cap design allows us to eliminate plastic entirely, and makes an air-tight seal without O-rings

Our final production model will feature the Avo logo and the pattern on one side, no text or markings on the backside (custom laser etching available as an optional add-on). There are 4 studs, 2 on each side, to make strapping more versatile.

We offer free US shipping. For international backers, your exact shipping rate will be calculated based on your address after the campaign ends (for one 2L canteen it could be ~$10), we want to pass the savings of bulk rate to you and not overcharge you for shipping.

Created by Christina and John, Avo Design is a California based team specializing in products that blend elegance, functionality, and durability.

Frustrated with products that scratch, ding, and shatter with normal use, we incorporate food grade silicone in everyday items. This makes Avo Design products heat-resistant, slip-resistant, and resilient against wear and tear.

In addition to the Avo Canteen, we have successfully brought our Avo Bottle to market, and we have a pipeline of new products in the works.

P.S. We are named Avo (sounds like ah-vo) because our products have the characteristics of avocados, soft yet durable.
